We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our team in Burlington. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of bookkeeping experience and be comfortable managing the full cycle of bookkeeping activities, including invoice coding, payroll, HST filings, reconciliations, and financial record maintenance.Experience working in a franchise environment is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping duties.
- Code and process vendor invoices accurately.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
- Prepare and file HST returns.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Generate financial reports and assist management with financial analysis.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Invoice coding
- Payroll processing
- HST preparation and filing
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
