Line Cook — All-day brunch, no dinner service.

$22–26 an hour plus $3–6 an hour in tips, paid out in cash. That works out to $25–32 an hour. Every location runs 8am to 2pm, seven days a week — you're done mid-afternoon and your evenings are your own. No late closes, no split shifts, no Friday night dinner rush.

The Village has been feeding Victoria for over 20 years, and we're hiring cooks for all three of our kitchens:

Estevan Village — 2518 Estevan Ave, Oak Bay

Royal Oak Village — 4517 West Saanich Rd

Torquay Village — 4087 Shelbourne St

THE COOKING

Is from scratch. Our standards are high.

Bennys on latkes is the dish we're known for, and we've been making them the same way for two decades. Past that it's a proper brunch line:

Hot: grill, pans, poached eggs

Cold: expedite and plate

Third: salads, fruit, sides

Prep: recipes and knife work

You'll start on the station that matches your experience and cross-train from there.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Two or more years on a working line (flexible for those with a good attitude and a willingness to learn) and weekend availability. Brunch is a weekend business — Saturday and Sunday are when we need you most.
