We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Budtender to join our vibrant team! As a key ambassador in our indigenous cannabis dispensary, you will provide exceptional customer service, educate clients about our products, and ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences
- Educate clients on product effects, usage methods, and safety guidelines to promote responsible consumption
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability on the sales floor
- Manage inventory levels through filing, stock rotation, and documenting product movements using computer skills and Microsoft Excel
- Upsell products effectively by understanding customer needs and recommending complementary items
- Follow all legal regulations and company policies related to age verification, record keeping, and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, hospitality, or customer service environments with excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities in French or other languages are highly valued
- Familiarity with POS systems, computer operation, and basic math for cash handling and transactions
- Ability to perform some lifting when restocking shelves or moving inventory safely
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and filing tasks
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of cannabis products, industry regulations, or previous budtending experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Multilingual capabilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively
