We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Building Superintendent to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of our residential building. This energetic leader will ensure that all building systems function smoothly, maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, and the environment remains safe and welcoming for residents and visitors. Duties
- Manage and supervise maintenance, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely completion of repairs and upgrades
- Oversee routine inspections of building systems including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical, plumbing, and low voltage systems
- Respond promptly to emergency situations or system failures, communicating effectively with emergency responders and Management when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and safety inspections
- Perform outdoor grounds maintenance including keeping sidewalks cleared and protected
Requirements
- Proven management and supervising experience in building operations or industrial maintenance environments
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, electrical wiring (including low voltage), and industrial machinery
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to foster a safety-conscious culture
- Fluency in English with transparent communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electrical work, HVAC systems, and general building maintenance
