About Vertex Executive Health

Vertex Executive Health is a recent, physician-led annual health membership program launching across seven clinic locations in the Greater Toronto Area (Mississauga, Toronto, North York, and Scarborough). We offer a comprehensive annual executive health assessment — cardiac, metabolic, and functional health testing, biological age assessment, and more — paired with a dedicated health coach who supports members' care all year long.

We're looking for a Business Development & Client Relations Manager to join us as we launch. This is a foundational hire with significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape how this program grows and how our first members experience it.

The Role

This is a hybrid, three-part role reporting directly to the founders/owners. You'll be the face of Vertex to prospective members, the dedicated point of contact for our first cohort of enrolled members, and a flexible support resource to the clinics we operate out of. Because we're just getting started, you'll own this role solo to begin — with the expectation that you'll build and eventually lead a small team as membership grows.

1. Business Development & Client Acquisition

You will be the primary driver of new membership enrollment, executing our Year One marketing and outreach plan. This includes:

- Building relationships and presenting Vertex directly to private clubs, wealth management firms, private schools, consulates, and community organizations across the GTA
- Representing the brand at events, lunch-and-learns, sponsorships, and community touchpoints
- Managing outreach to our existing patient base across our partner clinics
- Tracking and reporting on lead sources and conversion, and adjusting outreach based on what's working

- Supporting founding-member and referral campaigns

2. Member Concierge / Health Coach (Non-Clinical) Once a member enrolls, you become their dedicated health coach — their first point of contact for navigating their care. This is a purely administrative and navigational role; you will not be providing clinical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Responsibilities include:

- Coordinating and scheduling each member's annual assessment and any follow-up appointments
- Helping members navigate the healthcare system — booking, tracking referrals, following up on test results and specialist visits
- Coordinating prescription refill requests with the clinical team
- Being a consistent, responsive point of contact for members' questions and logistical needs
- Escalating any urgent medical concern immediately to the appropriate physician or emergency services — you are the coordination layer, not the clinical one

3. Clinic Support As needed, you'll provide general support to the clinics Vertex operates within, which may include administrative tasks such as faxing, scanning, and document handling, and other ad hoc support.

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of professional experience, ideally combining business development/marketing with client relationship or account management experience
- Healthcare industry experience or exposure is a strong asset (clinical or administrative/healthcare-adjacent — e.g., health services,

medical device, pharma, insurance, or patient navigation background all count)
- An MBA or other advanced business credential is a plus, but strong, relevant work experience will be considered equally
- Outgoing, polished, and comfortable representing a premium brand in person — with private clubs, business owners, physicians, and high-net-worth individuals alike
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize across very different types of work in the same week (a client presentation one day, a member's urgent scheduling need the next)
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently, since you will be building this function from the ground up
- A second language is an asset, though not required
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, given regular travel across GTA clinic locations

Details

- Employment type: Full-time
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Work arrangement: Hybrid — primarily home-office based, with travel across our Mississauga, Toronto, North York, and Scarborough locations as needed. No fixed daily commute; in-person presence is required for specific meetings, events, and clinic support as they arise.
- Reports to: Founders/Owners
- Compensation: $70,000, commensurate with experience

Why This Role Matters You'll be one of the very first hires at Vertex and will have a direct hand in shaping how this program grows from its first members to a mature, GTA-wide practice. This is a rare opportunity to build a function from scratch, with real autonomy and the potential to lead a team as we scale.

Pay: $70,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Greater Toronto Area, ON
