- Contribute to dbt models, testing, documentation, and development standards.
- Monitor critical reports, datasets, refreshes, gateways, and related processes.
- Troubleshoot reporting failures, performance concerns,

- Experience working with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data platform.
- Knowledge of dbt or another SQL-based data transformation framework.
- Practical understanding of dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables, data warehousing, and ETL or ELT concepts.
- Experience validating and reconciling data across source systems, transformations, and reports.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, code review, and controlled deployment practices.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, Claude Code, or comparable tools is considered an asset.
- Ability to evaluate AI-generated code and content for accuracy, security, maintainability, and alignment with business requirements.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with careful attention to data accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage work from requirements and design through testing, deployment, documentation, and support.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain data and reporting concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Alteryx workflow migration, ERP data, manufacturing or distribution data, data governance, or automated testing would be considered an asset.
- Ability to balance production support responsibilities with planned development and modernization work.
Candidates are not expected to have experience with every preferred technology. Strong BI, SQL, data-modeling, problem-solving, and business-partnership capabilities, together with the ability to learn Walter’s environment, are most important.
