Matrix HR is currently recruiting experienced Journeyperson Carpenters/Joiners located in Halifax, NS. We are specifically looking for candidates within the Halifax, NS area or within a reasonable commuting distance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Erect, dismantle, inspect, and certify structural installations

- Perform care, maintenance, and preservation work

- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings

- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install materials including wood, steel, and substitutes

- Install windows, doors, feature walls, ceilings, and other architectural elements





- Promote and maintain a safe work environment, with a strong commitment to the "Safety First " culture

- Apply proven experience in industrial and/or commercial carpentry scopes

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of industrial/commercial carpentry (framing preferred)

- Knowledge of construction methods, codes, and blueprints

- Proficient with power tools and equipment

- Problem-solver, self-motivated, and team-oriented

- Comfortable with heights, physical tasks, and shift work

- You must be eligible to work in Canada

- Candidates will be required to wear respiratory protective equipment

- Candidates will be required to work at heights from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms; stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and climb and work in confined spaces and inclement weather and support extended hours and overtime as business needs dictate.

- Work may be performed indoors and outdoors.

- You will frequently handle, lift, carry, and set up parts and equipment that weigh up to fifty (50lbs) pounds.

- Own tools and tool pouch

All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Government Security clearance.
