Cashier and Counter Server at Felix Taco Bar

Job Summary

Felix Taco Bar is looking for a friendly, energetic, and responsible person to join our team as a Cashier and Counter Server.

This can be an entry level position, so previous restaurant experience is not required. We are happy to train the right person. What matters most is having a positive attitude, being comfortable talking with customers, and making every guest feel welcome.

You will take orders, process payments, serve food and drinks, keep the counter clean, and help create the fun and friendly experience that represents Felix.

Responsibilities

- Welcome every customer with a friendly attitude
- Take orders accurately using the Square POS system
- Handle credit card and digital payments responsibly
- Serve food and drinks quickly and correctly
- Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages
- Handle and prepare all types of proteins, including pork, beef, chicken, lamb, and seafood
- Answer questions and help customers understand the menu
- Suggest additional items and upsell
- Keep the counter, dining area, and food preparation spaces clean and organized
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service rules
- Stay organized and positive during busy service periods
- Work closely with the kitchen and the rest of the Felix team
- Speak positively about the food, the brand, and the customer experience





Requirements

- A valid Smart Serve certificate is required
- Must be fluent in English
- Spanish is a strong asset
- Must be comfortable preparing and serving alcoholic beverages
- Must be comfortable handling and preparing all types of proteins, including pork
- Must be friendly, social, and comfortable speaking with customers
- Must be responsible, reliable, and on time
- Must have a positive attitude and good energy
- Must be able to work in a busy and fast paced environment
- Must be able to multitask and pay attention to details
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience is helpful but not required
