Role Description This is a remote contract role for a Cloud Architect.

The Cloud

Architect will design and document cloud-based solutions that align with business objectives, security requirements, and regulatory standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing solution architectures, defining cloud infrastructure components, and collaborating with software development teams to ensure scalable, secure, and resilient systems. The role involves overseeing integration between cloud services and existing systems, optimizing performance and cost, and recommending architectural improvements.

Architect will work closely with stakeholders, including IT, security, and business teams,



to translate requirements into implementable cloud designs and support implementation and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

- Strong Solution Architecture skills, with experience designing end-to-end cloud solutions that meet business and security requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure design and management, including networking, storage, security controls, and high-availability configurations in cloud environments.
- Background in Software Development and Integration, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and support API-based and microservices architectures.
- Expertise in cloud Architecture principles, patterns, and best practices across major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries, with familiarity in compliance, data protection, and risk management.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar), CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote contract setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect) are preferred.
