Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Body Collision Repair Estimator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the collision repair and estimating processes, excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to produce accurate and complete estimates.
This is a key position in our operation. In addition to preparing estimates and managing customer files, the Estimator will play an important role in keeping vehicles moving through the repair process and ensuring repairs stay on schedule and vehicles are completed and delivered on time.
The successful candidate must be highly organized, able to manage multiple repair files at once, be proactive in identifying potential delays, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate vehicle damage and prepare accurate, detailed collision repair estimates.
- Communicate with customers to explain repair needs, procedures, timelines, and costs.
- Work with insurance adjusters to ensure estimates are accurate and approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
- Order all required parts and materials and monitor their availability.
- Work closely with technicians and the repair team regarding parts, labor, repair procedures, and vehicle progress.
- Manage repair files from initial estimate through completion while keeping vehicles moving through production.
- Monitor repair timelines and proactively identify and address issues that could delay completion.
- Coordinate with the production team to help ensure vehicles are completed and ready for delivery on schedule.
- Follow up on supplements, approvals, parts, and other outstanding items to prevent unnecessary production delays.
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process and provide timely updates.
- Document repair details and maintain accurate records of estimates and customer interactions.
- Maintain knowledge of current collision repair procedures, industry standards, vehicle technology, and manufacturer requirements.
- Maintain proficiency with estimating software and parts catalogues.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire repair process.
Requirements
- Previous experience in auto body collision repair estimating.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle parts, collision repair procedures, labor, and repair methods.
- Proficiency with estimating software including Mitchell,
Bodyshop Connect, and Audatex.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Knowledge of the Tesla EPC online catalogue is an asset.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple repair files in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize work based on production deadlines.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented approach to keeping repairs on schedule.
- Valid driver's license.

This is an in-office position. Remote work is not available. Salary is dependent on experience. A Junior Estimator may be considered and would be hired at a training salary.
