Role Description The Colour Chart Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This role is responsible for guiding homeowners and builder clients through finish selections for new homes, ensuring choices align with design standards, project budgets, and client preferences. The consultant will create and maintain colour charts and specification documents, and collaborate with builders and internal teams to keep selections organized and accurate.
Day-to-day tasks include meeting with clients,
explaining colour options, providing recommendations, and supporting sales and customer service activities. The role also involves maintaining product knowledge, updating reference materials, and contributing to continuous improvements in the design and selection process.
Qualifications
- Strong Colour Consulting skills, with the ability to translate design principles into practical recommendations.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a client-focused approach and the ability to support homeowners through complex decisions.
- Sales skills with experience in guiding clients toward suitable selections while supporting revenue and project goals.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, and collaborate effectively with builders, designers, and internal teams.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail in tracking selections and specifications.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain design and colour concepts to non-experts.
- Previous experience in sales, design, interiors, or home construction is an asset.
- Proficiency with basic digital tools (e.g., spreadsheets, design studio software) is beneficial.
