Position Overview: Love plants? Enjoy working with your hands? We’re looking for an energetic,



hardworking individual to join our team as an entry level Commercial Greenhouse Labourer! This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys being on their feet, and takes pride in working with both plants and people. As part of our greenhouse team, you’ll play a key role in nurturing the plants that make our garden center flourish. Position Details:

- Type: Seasonal, Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with occasional weekend shifts
- Location: Shelmerdine Garden Centre Ltd. (Must have own transportation—no bus service available)

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Planting and cutting annuals/perennials
- Watering, trimming, and maintaining plant health
- Mixing fertilizer and weeding.
- Ensuring cleanliness in the greenhouse.
- Utilizing tools for minor greenhouse repairs.
- Working in greenhouse conditions with varying temperatures and humidity
- Handling repetitive lifting tasks and staying on your feet for long periods

What We’re Looking For:

- Driver’s license or ability to commute to Headingley, MB. (no bus access)
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive tasks, and heights
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
- Knowledge of plants is considered an asset
