Working with a 27 yr old Non Speaking Autistic male in home and out in the community we are approx 3 Km away from both universities.

Overview of Job Duties :

Position

Working support personal for young adult man with non-verbal Autism. A bright young individual is looking for a support person to assist with daily tasks, regulation and use of his specific mode of communication.

Responsibilities/Expectations: - Working on academic and communication goals - Implementing programming including life skills, daily schedule hobbies and communication sessions. - Prompt and regular attendance of scheduled hours.

Participating in oversight and planning sessions Training: Full training will be provided on life skills, hobbies, communication method (he uses spelling to communicate), and engagement techniques to work effectively and genuinely with the client.

Hours: We are interested in assembling a team, so we can have several people we train to be his one-to-one aid during the day/evening , we would have people rotate days based on your schedule and availability

Wages: Hourly wage Requirements (please only apply if you have/are)

Flexible, imaginative, loving, patient, organized and energetic. Open to training/consultation with outside providers. Important to have a fun experiences .

Must have strong Math skills and interest in Sciences ,enjoy teaching and learning .

Work as a team member with both other communication partners and family members.

Availability on the days M-F

Average 8-12 hours week.(evening and daytime hours available, depending on mutual schedules. Flexibility is a big plus.
