The Saskatchewan Prevention Institute is seeking a full-time (1 FTE) Community Action for Prenatal and Child Health Program (CAPCHP) Training and Education Coordinator beginning October 19, 2026.

Nature and Scope The Training and Education Coordinator reports to the Program Manager and/or Executive Director and is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the CAPCHP Training and Education Project. The CAPCHP Training and Education Coordinator carries out these responsibilities in consultation and collaboration with the other members of the Saskatchewan Prevention Institute’s programs, core staff, and external partners.
The Prevention Institute’s office is located in Saskatoon and serves all areas of the province. The Coordinator will be expected to 37.5 hours per week.
Specific Accountabilities The Coordinator will be accountable for:
1. developing and/or disseminating evidence-based resources, information, and knowledge exchange activities focused on identified priority health needs, including the following:
· prenatal and postnatal care (e.g., pregnancy, postnatal care, newborn care) · child development and early years education (e.g., developmental milestones, early learning)
· parenting education (e.g., effective parenting strategies, parenting skills, positive attachment)
· general child and family health education (e.g., nutrition, mental health, healthy lifestyles)
1. providing education and training to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and capacity of service providers related to the identified priority health needs
2. facilitating networking and knowledge exchange opportunities for service providers, including CAPCHP projects, to share information, resources, best practices, and emerging initiatives
3. developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with provincial service providers, funded CAPCHP projects, Public Health Agency of Canada Program Consultants, and other relevant stakeholders

Required Qualifications and Experience A university degree is required. Relevant areas of study may include, but are not limited to, public health, social work, or education. University degrees in other fields will be considered with 3+ years of experience in a relevant sector.
Experience using evidence-based information in decision making and resource development is also required.
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
· experience in community engagement and development
· experience in facilitation, training, and professional development provision in virtual and in-person settings, as well as adult education
· knowledge in the areas of early childhood development, early childhood well-being, and prenatal health and well-being
Salary Range The salary range for this position is $54,000 - $58,000 with the starting salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
