Holiday Inn Ottawa East is looking for a reliable and motivated Part-Time Cook to join our Food & Beverage team.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, menus, and hotel standards.
- Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and other food service operations.
- Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served safely and at the proper temperatures.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and workstation.
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Monitor food quality and minimize food waste.
- Properly store and rotate food supplies.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Communicate effectively with the Chef, kitchen team, and Food & Beverage staff.
- Follow all hotel, health and safety, and food safety policies.
- Assist with other kitchen duties as required.

What We’re Looking For
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience is an asset.
- Food Handler certification is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and safe food handling practices.




- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and food quality.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.

Job Type: Part-time Schedule: Flexible shifts; mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
