Inner Voice Therapy

Mississauga

Company Description Inner Voice Therapy supports individuals and couples in breaking cycles of self-doubt, shame, and guilt by helping them reconnect with their authentic inner voice. Care is grounded in evidence-based approaches and provided in multiple languages, with tools tailored to clients’ cultural values and intercultural identities.

The practice offers a safe space for clients to explore conditioning and patterns that no longer serve them and to step into a self-concept proudly shaped by their heritage.

Inner Voice

Therapy is committed to the well-being of both clients and clinicians, recognizing clinicians’ emotional and mental health as essential to providing high-quality care.

Role Description The Couples Therapist will provide couples counseling with a focus on relationship dynamics, communication, and conflict resolution, using evidence-based and culturally responsive modalities. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering psychotherapy sessions, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and collaborating with other providers as needed.

This is a contract, hybrid role based in Mississauga, ON, with a combination of in-person sessions and some work-from-home flexibility for virtual appointments, documentation, and team meetings.

Qualifications

- Licensed or license-eligible mental health professional (e.g.,

- Demonstrated experience in couples and relationship therapy, including work with communication challenges, conflict, intimacy concerns, and life transitions.
- Strong skills in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and identity-affirming practice, with comfort addressing shame, guilt, and intercultural dynamics.
- Competence in evidence-based modalities (e.g., EFT for couples or Gottman Method).
- Excellent clinical documentation, case formulation, and assessment skills, including risk assessment and appropriate safety planning.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries, manage a caseload independently, and collaborate effectively in a supportive team workplace.
- Strong communication and active listening skills, with the ability to create a non-judgmental, affirming space for diverse identities and relationship structures.
- Comfort with telehealth platforms and basic digital tools for scheduling, notes, and secure client communication; multilingual abilities are an asset.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, personal reflection, and practices that support your own emotional and mental well-being.
