Role Profile The ideal candidate should have the skills listed below but in addition should be a self-driven, dedicated individual who can work well with both technical and non-technical audiences. In addition, the candidate should respond well to change and quickly pick up new concepts, as well as devising new approaches for solving challenges in the space. Technical and analytics skills combined with strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Skills Required

-3+ years of appropriate technical experience

-Experience with Java or Scala

-Experience with Python

-Solid Linux command line skills

-Strong SQL skills-Hands-on analytical work experience

-Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools and methods

-A demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools and languages

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

-Excellent interpersonal skills and professional approach

Skills Desired

-Knowledge and experience with Tableau or other data visualization tool

-Knowledge and experience with notebook or data analysis tools, such as Dataiku or Jupyter

-Experience in developing statistical models and algorithms





-A working knowledge of Git and Jira-Knowledge of machine learning approaches and algorithms

-Experience with, or exposure to Hadoop and Spark

-Familiarity with financial market data

NFRT has several departments, such as Fraud Technology, Trade Surveillance and Financial Crimes Technology. The FA Monitoring team builds and executes complex surveillance models that focus on monitoring the Financial Advisor and Portfolio Risk Management of the Firm's Wealth Management functions.

A Data Analytics Developer in the space focuses on supporting Data Scientists and Quantitative Analysts through a variety of tools, as well as assisting in data preparation and exploration, with hands-on participation in larger analytics projects.
