You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. As a Data Center Technician, you are a primary resolver for your support team, and are skilled at troubleshooting one or more operating systems.
You are able to execute small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects. Position may include rotating shifts, 3, 4, or 5 day/night work weeks, and may change based on the needs of the business. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
This position will fill an opening at one of multiple separate sites. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, responding to operational incidents that impact service availability, and carrying out routine network, server hardware, and operating system repairs to contribute to the overall availability of AWS services Serving as a primary contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on your analysis of operational issues Helping to interview, train and onboard new team members Lifting and moving material up to 40 pounds each Work in an industrial environment Work shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations (covering both night and day shifts).
This role supports data centers in various operational stages. The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
