Lynnwood Learning Centre is seeking a Full-Time Kitchen Cook who is passionate about supporting children’s growth and well-being through nutritious, thoughtfully prepared meals. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a childcare environment and understands the important role food plays in children’s development.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum Level 1 Early Childhood Certification
- Valid SafeCheck Canadian Food Safety Certificate
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a childcare setting
- Experience cooking for large groups
- Solid time management and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt and problem-solve (e.g., meal substitutions when items are unavailable)
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation in accordance with Alberta licensing regulations
- Prepare and cook meals and snacks following the daily and weekly menu plans
- Plan and prepare food alternatives when ingredients are unavailable
- Ensure all dietary restrictions, allergies, and individual needs of children are carefully followed
- Complete daily dishwashing and kitchen cleaning duties
- Fill out required kitchen documentation and forms
- Remove kitchen garbage and recycling daily
- Support classroom staff with child supervision when needed
