We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time DECA Training Teacher to inspire and prepare students for success in the DECA contest program, a dynamic organization that develops leadership and business skills among youth. In this role, you will deliver engaging training sessions, foster a supportive learning workplace, and help students develop practical skills that will benefit them academically and professionally. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive training sessions focused on DECA competitions, leadership development, and business concepts
- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to diverse student needs and skill levels
- Facilitate interactive activities that encourage critical thinking, teamwork, and presentation skills
- Support students in preparing for DECA competitions by providing guidance on project development and presentation techniques
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and motivate participants to achieve their best
- Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes active participation and confidence-building
- Collaborate with other educators and program coordinators to ensure alignment with curriculum goals and event schedules
Skills
- Proven classroom experience with the ability to engage students effectively
- Strong teaching skills with a passion for mentoring youth in leadership and business topics
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey concepts and inspire learners
- Ability to organize lessons, manage time efficiently, and adapt to different learning styles
- Enthusiasm for fostering a supportive environment that encourages student growth and confidence
- Knowledge of DECA programs or similar leadership development organizations is a plus but not required
