Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Deli Clerk (Chicken Fryer) to join our Deli team on a full-time basis at our location in St. Paul AB. Reporting to the Deli Manager.

What you’ll do:

- Engage with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.

- Prepare and fry chicken products according to company recipes and food-safety standards.

- Operate and monitor the commercial fryers safely.

- Maintain proper oil temperature and cooking times to ensure consistent quality.

- Keep the fryer, preparation area, all utensils and equipment clean and sanitized.

- Fulfill customer orders and provide customer service at deli counter.

- Follow opening, closing and cleaning procedures.

- Follow Cornerstone safety procedures at all times.

- Resolve customer issues and answer questions.

- Follow department standards for stock rotation, including First In First Out (FIFO).

- Work a variety of shifts, including days, weekends, and holidays.

- Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative’s vision, mission, values and focus on safety.

- Perform other duties as assigned to support team operations and customer service initiatives.

Who you are:

- You must be at least 18 years of age.

- You are able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. Loads exceeding 50 lbs will be managed with lifting equipment or assistance in accordance with safety guidelines.

- You are able to stand and move throughout your shift, including walking, bending, and reaching while staying active with tasks such as assisting customers, unloading freight and stocking shelves.

- You are action oriented, customer focused and work well on your own.

- You can handle competing deadlines and prioritize tasks in a quick-paced environment.

- You are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented,



and strive to be the best in what you do.

- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver meaningful solutions, valuing diverse perspectives to meet shared objectives.
