En tant que directeur de l’ingénierie mécanique, vous superviserez une équipe responsable de la conception, du développement et du soutien technique des produits de transformateurs tout en contribuant à l’exécution réussie des projets des clients et des initiatives technologiques futures. Relevant du directeur de l’ingénierie à l’usine de Varennes, vous gérerez les ressources d’ingénierie, guiderez les enquêtes techniques complexes et soutiendrez les activités de fabrication et les besoins des clients.
Dans le cadre de vos fonctions, vous collaborerez avec les équipes d’ingénierie locales et mondiales, favoriserez l’amélioration des processus, soutiendrez la croissance de l’entreprise et contribuerez à la livraison de solutions d’ingénierie de grande qualité. Votre travail contribuera directement au rendement des produits, à la satisfaction des clients, à l’excellence opérationnelle et à l’expansion continue des capacités de fabrication des transformateurs à l’appui des infrastructures énergétiques essentielles. Gérer l’équipe d’ingénierie mécanique qui soutient les projets des clients, les développements de produits futurs et les enquêtes techniques.
Superviser les estimations techniques pour les projets à venir et présenter des recommandations à la haute direction et aux clients. Fournir des conseils et un soutien techniques aux équipes de fabrication et aux clients pour les aider à résoudre les problèmes d’ingénierie. Soutenir la croissance de l’organisation d’ingénierie par l’encadrement, la planification de la main‑d’œuvre et des initiatives de formation internes.
Établir l’ordre de priorité, attribuer et surveiller les activités d’ingénierie pour s’assurer que les projets sont exécutés dans le respect du calendrier et du budget. Coordonner les ressources d’ingénierie dans plusieurs pays afin de fournir un soutien technique rapide et efficace. Mener des initiatives d’amélioration continue axées sur les processus d’ingénierie, la qualité et la réduction des coûts.
Le candidat doit déjà avoir une autorisation de travail qui lui permettrait de travailler pour Hitachi Energy au Canada. Expérience en génie mécanique combinée à un minimum de 15 ans d’expérience dans un environnement de fabrication. Expérience éprouvée en gestion de personnel et capacité à guider et à former des équipes d’ingénierie.

As Mechanical Engineering
Manager, you will oversee a team responsible for the design, development, and technical support of transformer products while contributing to the successful execution of customer projects and future technology initiatives. Reporting to the Engineering Manager at the Varennes facility, you will manage engineering resources, guide complex technical investigations, and support both manufacturing operations and customer needs. In this role, you will collaborate with local and global engineering teams, drive process improvements, support business growth, and help ensure the delivery of high‑quality engineering solutions.
Your work will directly contribute to product performance, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and the continued expansion of transformer manufacturing capabilities in support of critical power infrastructure. Manage the mechanical engineering team supporting customer projects, future product developments, and technical investigations. Oversee engineering estimates for upcoming projects and present recommendations to senior management and customers.
Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing teams and customers to help resolve engineering challenges. Develop and implement initiatives that improve operational efficiency, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. Support the growth of the engineering organization through coaching, workforce planning, and internal training initiatives.
Prioritize, assign, and monitor engineering activities to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. Coordinate engineering resources across multiple countries to provide timely and effective technical support. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on engineering processes, quality, and cost reduction.

Mechanical
Engineering background combined with a minimum of 15 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven people management experience with the ability to guide and develop engineering teams. Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
