Spring Mill Distillery is looking for a hands on, detail oriented Brewer/Distiller to join our production team.
Reporting to the Head Distiller, you will be involved in the full production process, from mashing and fermentation through distillation, barreling and bottling. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 1 year of hands on brewing and/or distilling experience who understands a production workplace and is ready to contribute as part of a collaborative team.

What You’ll Do
- Execute the daily production schedule to support production and distribution requirements
- Operate, clean and maintain distilling and production equipment
- Participate in all stages of production, including mashing, fermenting, distilling, barreling, bottling, labelling and packaging
- Fill, weigh, gauge, label and organize barrels
- Support lab work, including sampling, cataloguing and compliance data tracking
- Maintain accurate production, processing, inventory and storage records
- Complete required production data entry accurately and on time
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe production environment
- Identify and communicate equipment, production or quality concerns
- Work collaboratively with the distilling and broader Spring Mill tea
- Support other production activities as required in a growing distillery
What You Bring
- Minimum 1 year of hands on brewing and/or distilling experience
- Education in brewing, distilling, chemistry, microbiology or a related field is required
- Experience working with production equipment and following established production processes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take direction while also working independently
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- A reliable, positive and team focused approach
- Willingness to continue learning and developing your technical skills
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime when required
- Valid G driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
Physical Requirements
This is a hands on production role. You must be able to:
- Regularly lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Bend, kneel, crouch and work throughout a production environment
- Repeatedly climb stairs and navigate elevated walkways
- Safely ascend and descend ladders and be comfortable working at heights
