BAT Construction is growing, and we're looking for experienced Labourer/Driller's Helper!

As a Labourer you will assist on site as needed. You'll work alongside experienced supervisors and field crews to deliver quality work safely, efficiently, and to specification.

We're looking for people who are dependable, capable, adaptable, and comfortable working away from home on rotational schedules. Experience with drilling is required and with rock stabilization, or other geotechnical construction is a robust asset.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Follow safe work procedures, safe operating procedures and policies.
- Work as a team to maintain a safe and organized worksite.
- Take direction from the project supervisor and fulfil project labour duties as instructed.
- Assisting with loading/unloading materials and equipment.
- Assisting the driller
- Cleanup and organizing of the work are and equipment.
- Arrive to site ready for work, fit for duty, and reliably as scheduled.




- Snow removal and general maintenance of work areas
- Participating in health and safety meetings
- Pre and post project inspections and maintenance of tools and equipment
- Reporting to BAT yard supervisor or project supervisor
- Provide ground support for all operations
- Operate, clean, and maintain grout plant
- Assisting on projects as required
- Pick up and delivery of supplies.
- Assisting HD Mechanic
- Power washing equipment
- Maintaining accurate documentation
- Operate and maintain grout plant and conduct proper grout cute quality management
- Operate and maintain dry shotcrete plant
- Wear a respirator when and where required by safety protocols and job demands, ensuring a proper seal and fit at all times.
- Ensure Flexibility; BAT Construction has multiple project sites across Canada that operate at any given time (day or night) thus flexibility is required regarding work schedules, hours, rotations, shifts, and locations. Employees are expected to adapt to these changes as required by the company.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Min. Class 5 drivers license- Heavy Trailer Endorsement is preferred.
- Willingness to work out of town when required.
- Experienced working around construction and/or heavy equipment
- Drilling experience
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Good communication skills
- Able to work independently and with others.
- Well organized.
- Takes workplace safety seriously and believes in a safe work culture.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- CSTS or Site Ready BC
- WHMIS

Location: Agnico Eagle - Detour Lake Mine, Ontario

Camp work

Travel: Flights are provided by us

Rotation: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off

Shift: 12 hour days, overtime after 8

Union: CLAC - advantages including vacation and RSP

Job Type: Full time
