Basic Functions: performing manual lifting and driving work. You will report to the Shipping Supervisor and work as part of the team in providing delivery and pick‑ups services to our clients. This will also include picking and verifying orders, as well as packing orders into delivery vehicles.
Essential Functions
- Picking food and beverage items and assembling orders accurately.
- Packing orders into the M&O; delivery vehicles in an orderly manner.
- Delivering hot and cold foods, either on platters or in chafing dishes.
- Delivering beverages, which may include hot cambros or cases of water, soft drinks, juice, wine or beer.
- Picking up non‑disposable platters/equipment used for client events.
Qualifications
- Knowledge: Positive working knowledge of GTA and the surrounding area; general food knowledge.
- Skills/Aptitudes: Comprehensive understanding of the English language; ability to communicate effectively with co‑workers,
clients and managers; good driving skills and clean abstract; good organizational skills; detail oriented and able to multi‑task; must be professional, courteous, neat appearance and be responsible.
Working Conditions
- Will be on the road for majority of shift, in all types of driving conditions.
- Will need to work in an efficient and fast‑paced manner to stay on schedule.
- Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading food racks and cambros.
- Frequent use of foot/feet to operate foot pedals on truck/vehicles.
- Frequent lifting of 15-17 lbs; occasional lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.
Position Salary & Benefits
- Rate: $20-24/hour. Pay rate is based on experience.
- Schedule: This role is an addition to headcount.
