An Electrical

Engineer/Technologist Co-op Student supports critical power and infrastructure systems, with exposure to both day-to-day operations and large-scale capital projects. The position offers the opportunity to build technical expertise while contributing to system reliability, safety, and long-term electrical planning. Full time Co-Op/Internship. Perform electrical drawing redlines and field audits for power, communication/network, and control systems to ensure documentation accuracy Assist with and lead switching sequences and lockout procedures during maintenance shutdowns, outages, and major electrical PM activities Support major upcoming electrical projects, including hoist and MCC upgrades,



underground grid expansions, substation replacements, and long-term power demand and protection studies Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors. Participation in department meetings, and meetings specific to project assignments.

Entering third year level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a Completed 1st year of Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology Diploma. ~ Ability to function in an industrial chemical, and mining environment. ~1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred. ~ Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred. ~ Reliable transportation and valid driver's license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office. ~ Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship ~ Basic computer skills are required ~ Familiarity with an industrial setting is highly desirable ~ Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
