Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Electronics Cable Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in assembling and wiring electronic components and cables for our safety lighting systems. Your mechanical skills and electrical experience will help ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced technologies in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
Duties
- Assemble electronic cables and components according to detailed schematics and technical drawings
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to accurately assemble parts
- Wire electrical components following wiring diagrams and schematics
- Measure and inspect parts using calipers and other precision tools to ensure proper fit and function
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks, including mounting components and securing parts with fasteners
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols throughout the manufacturing process
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience working with hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment
- Electrical experience including wiring, schematics reading,
and troubleshooting electrical systems
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions accurately
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to electronics assembly
- Effective communication skills with a focus on quality assurance and safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Experience using hand tools and basic mechanical assembly tools.
- Ability to follow detailed manufacturing instructions and documented processes.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in electronic assembly or manufacturing.
- Experience working in a small to medium-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience performing cable assemblies, soldering, or PCB-level work.
- Experience operating cutting or crimping machines for cable production.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and finger movements.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing assembly tasks.
- Ability to visually inspect small electronic components.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 20 lbs.
Working Conditions Working conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment and may include exposure to certain chemicals and fumes on occasion. Operation of machinery requires the use of appropriate safety equipment and training. The position involves repetitive hand motions and precision work.
