- Lead engineering participation in project kick-off, status, and coordination meetings with Project Management, Engineering, and client representatives.
- Coordinate project setup and engineering execution, including project-specific design information, work priorities, time coding, resource deployment, and production inventory.
- Monitor engineering and design progress against project schedules, proactively identifying risks or issues that could impact cost, schedule, quality, design integrity, safety, or construction, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate the flow of technical and project information between Engineering, Project Management, Project Engineering, clients, Procurement, and Construction to support effective project execution.
- Manage engineering documentation and change control, including client documents, project deliverables, Requests for Information (RFIs), Design Change Notices (DCNs), working copies, and scope completion.
- Assemble, prioritize, and release engineering work packages and deliverables in alignment with project schedules and priorities.
- Ensure engineering work complies with established work processes, data management requirements, Enterprise and Project Design Guides, CAD standards, and project-specific requirements.
- Perform quality reviews and audits of engineering deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, optimization, and adherence to project requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to Designers, Procurement, Construction, and other project stakeholders, and contribute directly to design and engineering deliverables as required.
- Document and communicate project, technical, and process-related issues, escalating risks and supporting timely resolution.
- Identify software issues and improvement opportunities and coordinate bugs or enhancement requests with the Projects & Services Software Development team.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to Designers, supporting technical development, knowledge sharing, and consistent execution across Data Center projects.
You have:
- An engineering degree from an accredited university or a technology diploma from a recognized college in the Electrical or Mechanical disciplines is preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Design Engineer or Field Engineer specializing in EHT is preferred.
- Possess solid time management skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, MS Suites and SAP an asset
- Knowledge of basic electrical and EHT design experience is an asset
- (Canada Only) Must be either formally registered, or in training, to be a Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist in the Province of Alberta and have specific knowledge of the Alberta Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act, APEGA Regulations, APEGA Code of Ethics, APEGA By-Laws, ASET Regulations, and APEGA Qualified Technologists Regulations - particularly as they apply to the relevant application of members' stamps and Permit to Practice approvals on issued drawings and specifications.
