Sparwood Secondary School is seeking an English and Social Studies Teacher for grades 7-8 and 10. This part time temporary position offers an enriching opportunity to educate young learners in a dynamic community.

Beginning

September 9, 2026, this 0.857 FTE contract extends until June 25, 2027. Candidates must possess teaching qualifications in English and History at the Secondary level.

Your role will involve teaching core subjects, including English 7, English 8, and various Social Studies courses, while engaging students in meaningful learning. Key Responsibilities:

- Teach English and Social Studies aligned with the curriculum
- Lead students through interactive and relevant learning experiences
- Assess and evaluate students' academic development
- Adapt lessons for diverse educational needs
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve program effectiveness

Requirements:

- BC Teacher Certification is preferred
- Degree in relevant subjects required
- Teaching experience in Secondary education
- Onsite teaching commitment necessary
- Clearances per the Criminal Records Review Act
