We are seeking an Environmental Project Coordinator to support Project Managers, Principals, and Discipline Leads in coordinating the technical, regulatory, and logistical components of environmental projects. This role contributes to the successful delivery of a variety of projects across TWC’s service areas, including Geomatics &

- Applied Analytics, Regulatory, Ecology, Archaeology &
- Heritage, Northern Studies, Rights &
- Interests Assessment, Engagement &
- Planning, Knowledge Systems, and Socioeconomics by applying analytical approaches grounded in environmental science, policy, and systems thinking.

The Project Coordinator works on projects that are informed by both Indigenous Knowledge and Western scientific methods, supporting deliverables and outcomes that reflect diverse ways of knowing and meet regulatory and community expectations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to cooperative, evidence-informed environmental project delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

$33.00 - 48.00 per hour (equivalent to $64,350 - $93,600 per year). Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.

Location

Remote within Canada (home-based, with occasional travel). Hybrid or office-based options available for candidates located in Victoria or Vancouver, BC.

What You'll Do

Project Planning & Analytical Support

- Maintain and monitor project plans, schedules, budgets,



resource allocations, and technical task assignments using digital project management tools.
- Assist the Project Manager in developing internal and external project status reports, including financial tracking, milestone progress, and identification of potential delays or issues.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Principals, and Discipline Leads to implement quality assurance and document control procedures to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal, client, and regulatory standards.
- Support the planning and coordination of field work related to engagement and environmental projects, including travel planning and health and safety requirements.

Communication & Collaboration

- Foster open communication among clients, discipline teams, and regulatory agencies by managing correspondence.
- Track and document communications to support transparency and accountability across project teams.
- Track emerging issues and risks related to environmental, regulatory, or social factors and contribute to mitigation strategies.

What We're Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates who may not meet every qualification but bring relevant consulting experience, lived or professional insight, and a strong alignment with our work.

- Undergraduate or graduate degree in a science-based discipline such as Environmental Science, Ecology, Geography, or a related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in project coordination,



preferably in environmental consulting.
- Knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial/territorial legislation related to impact assessment, permitting, and consultation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with project management software, GIS, or data visualization tools.
- Experience working with or alongside First Nations, Métis, and/or Inuit Nations, communities, or organizations.
- Indigenous lived experience that contributes to team-based, multi-lens project delivery and helps inform how Indigenous perspectives are understood, represented, and integrated into consulting work.
