ERM is looking for a Junior Archaeologist to join their team in Whitehorse, YT. This rewarding role involves crucial fieldwork in archaeological surveys and assessments while ensuring safety regulations are met. In this full time, limited-term position, you’ll work on archaeological reconnaissance and excavations, helping to preserve cultural heritage.
With a focus on visual land inspections, you'll play a vital role in a collaborative and diverse team that values sustainability and innovation. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field reconnaissance and archaeological surveys
- Inspect land for archaeological resources
- Adhere to health and safety requirements
- Engage in excavation for archaeological purposes
- Support other duties as needed Requirements:
- Degree in Anthropology or Archaeology is preferred
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience from field school is a plus
- Must work in varied outdoor conditions
- Ability to handle a rotating work schedule of 2 weeks on, 1 week off Make a difference in heritage conservation while advancing your archaeology career with ERM.
