We are expanding our pre-construction team and looking for a detail-oriented, driven Current Home Estimator to manage cost projections, budgeting, and value engineering for our residential projects.

Role Overview

You will bridge the gap between architectural design and financial execution. By analyzing blueprints, material markets, and subcontractor pricing, you will ensure every home is built profitably while maintaining our high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Cost Database Management: Maintain up-to-date pricing databases for materials, labor rates, and equipment rentals.
- Subcontractor & Supplier Bidding: Solicit, review, and level bids from trade partners and vendors to secure competitive, reliable pricing.
- Budget Development:



Prepare comprehensive, itemized cost estimates and preliminary budgets for custom builds.
- Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving alternatives and design modifications without compromising structural integrity or aesthetic appeal.
- Contract Administration: Assist the project management in preparing scopes of work, purchase orders, and contract documents.

Qualifications

- Experience: 5+ years of estimating experience in residential construction (custom homes or volume production).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in residential estimating software (e.g., Buildertrend) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge Base: Deep understanding of residential building codes, construction methods, materials, and local trade markets.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical mindset, sharp negotiation abilities, and solid communication skills to collaborate effectively with architects, project managers, and vendors.
