This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Events Operations Lead based in Canada.

The Events Operations Lead will be the operational backbone of a high-impact global events program.

You’ll oversee the execution of approximately 55 events annually, ensuring every detail is delivered on time and on budget.

The role sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, operations, finance, design, vendors, and event organizers.

You’ll own event logistics, contracts, invoicing, procurement, shipping, onsite coordination, and internal communications.

Working in a fast-moving environment, you’ll bring structure and calm to constantly evolving priorities and timelines.

You’ll also help build repeatable systems and playbooks that make the events operation more scalable and efficient.

This is an ideal prospect for an organized, hands-on events professional who takes pride in flawless execution.

Accountabilities

- Own and continuously manage the annual event calendar of approximately 55 events, adapting plans and priorities as opportunities and business needs evolve throughout the year.
- Lead end-to-end event execution, including vendor coordination, booth builds, collateral, registration, exhibitor profiles, event passes, VAT requirements, procurement, shipping, and swag.
- Manage the administrative backbone of events, including agreements, contracts, invoices, purchasing, and reconciliation of out-of-pocket expenses.
- Act as the primary coordination hub between sales teams and event stakeholders, establishing dedicated communication channels, managing approval workflows, coordinating requests, and assembling onsite teams.

- Partner with data and operations teams on pre-event lead-list submissions and post-event lead routing, ensuring information is accurate and delivered on time.
- Collect and track qualitative event feedback, including post-event surveys and sales input on lead quality, to support ongoing evaluation of event performance and ROI.
- Collaborate with content and social stakeholders to brief creative and design partners on booth requirements, print materials, and other event assets.

- Co-own and continuously improve the event operations playbook and SOPs, documenting processes and learnings so the program can scale without relying on individual knowledge.
- Coordinate effectively across multiple stakeholders while maintaining momentum, accountability, and attention to detail from initial planning through event completion.

Requirements

- Hands-on experience managing B2B field events, including booths, vendors, logistics, and event execution under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to act as the central point of coordination across sales, operations, marketing, vendors, and event organizers.
- Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to building calendars, systems, processes, and workflows rather than simply reacting to incoming requests.
- Comfortable taking ownership of administrative responsibilities such as contracts, invoicing, procurement, and expense reconciliation.
- Ability to navigate approval processes, coordinate onsite teams, and move projects forward independently without requiring detailed instructions at every stage.

- Demonstrated interest in creating repeatable processes, documenting knowledge, and developing scalable event operations systems.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and event plans can change from quarter to quarter.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally for work-related events approximately once or twice per year.

- Experience in the travel industry, marketplace businesses, or community-led growth environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with HubSpot and event ROI tracking is advantageous.
- Experience creating or scaling an event playbook or SOP from scratch is a strong advantage.

- Fluency with AI tools and an interest in using automation to improve event workflows is a bonus.
- Candidates must have the legal right to work in Canada, as visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available.

Benefits

- Compensation: $46,000–$51,000 per year.
- Employment: Full-time, fixed-term international contractor arrangement, with monthly payments in USD.
- Remote work: Fully remote role for candidates based in Canada.
- Time to Recharge: Unlimited paid time off designed to support rest, recovery, and sustainable performance.
- Work from Anywhere: Eligible team members can work temporarily from another approved location for up to four weeks per calendar year.

- Amsterdam Program: Opportunity to spend 2–4 weeks each year at the company headquarters in Amsterdam, with accommodation provided in company apartments.
- Paid family leave: Extensive paid leave to support important family moments.
- Volunteer time: Three paid volunteer days per year to support causes you care about.

- Onboarding: Two-week cross-functional onboarding program to help you build relationships and get up to speed.
- Equipment: Access to modern equipment and tools, including coverage for certain work-from-home equipment.
- International environment: Join a global, travel-loving team focused on innovation, collaboration, and adventure.
