Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Experienced Brick Layer to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality brick and masonry work that enhances the durability and aesthetic appeal of various building projects. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring precision and craftsmanship in every project.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse renovation, restoration, and new construction initiatives while working with a dedicated team of professionals.

Responsibilities

- Lay bricks, blocks, and stone with precision, following detailed blueprints to meet project specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to facilitate masonry tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints and job specifications.
- Keep the work area neat, clean, organized and secure.
- Set corners, gauges string lines and leads
- Complete detailed work such as soldiers, archers, pillars, fireplaces and restoration.
- Plan ahead and keep labourers productive
- Assist in renovation and restoration projects by repairing or reconstructing existing masonry structures.
- Maintain a clean work workplace by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.




- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to quality standards.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a brick layer or mason with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, as well as power tools used in masonry work.
- Knowledge of construction processes including renovation, restoration, and structural repairs.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation relevant to masonry tasks is preferred.
- Strong understanding of masonry materials like bricks, blocks, stone, mortar, and caulking techniques.
- Excellent physical stamina for standing, lifting heavy materials, and working at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
- Represent Brik Professionally through respectful behaviour, clean workmanship and an honest attitude
