Reliable Equipment Rentals Ltd. provides aerial equipment rentals and services to valued customers throughout southwestern British Columbia.
We are looking for experienced Field Service Mechanics/Technicians to performs on-site repairs, maintenance, and inspections of high-reach equipment at customer locations and company facilities. This role requires strong diagnostic skills, attention to safety, accurate documentation, and a customer-focused approach to ensure equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.
Monday to Friday, 7:00AM to 3:30PM
Occasional overtime and/or weekend on-call work may be requested
$40.00 to $55.00 per hour depending on experience, skills, and qualifications

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct repairs and scheduled maintenance on a variety of high-reach equipment, including rental fleet and customer-owned units.
- Inspect machines to identify functional issues, wear, or potential safety concerns.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and control system problems and resolve them in a timely and effective manner.
- Complete accurate, timely, and detailed service reports, inspection records, and repair logs in accordance with company procedures.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through professional communication, reliability, and quality workmanship.
- Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner at all customer job sites.
- Follow all company safety policies, manufacturer guidelines, and WorkSafeBC requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service vehicle and work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support service operations and business needs.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Proficient with Web GPI
- Knowledge of how to calibrate super booms (S125/Z135)
- Knowledge of Deutz engines 2011 and 2.9L
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Experience, Training, Certification and Education:
- 5+ years of experience as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic
- Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience servicing high-reach, aerial, or construction equipment considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
Working Conditions:
- Field-based role with frequent travel to customer job sites
- Exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and heavy equipment
- Occasional overtime or on-call support may be requested
- Personal Protective Equipment required at all times
- Exposure to typical hazards associated with equipment service and mechanical trades
- May be requested to work on active construction and industrial job sites
