All Clear Mold u0026 Pathogen Solutions

Vancouver

All Clear is a boutique remediation/biodecontamination company specializing in advanced non-toxic mold and pathogen treatments and whole-building biodecontamination.

We occupy a different space from high-volume restoration companies. Our focus is specialized treatment, investigation, building science and solving difficult contamination problems—not simply moving crews through as many jobs as possible.

Experienced in restoration or construction — but don't necessarily want another full-time job?

All Clear Mold & Pathogen Solutions Inc. is looking for two experienced, hands-on field technicians to join our small remediation/biodecontamination team.

These are not entry-level positions, and they are not management positions disguised as field jobs.

We're looking for people who still genuinely enjoy doing the work.

You may already work in restoration, construction, film, environmental services or another skilled trade. You may work shifts or rotations, be self-employed, semi-retired, have seasonal employment, or simply prefer not to work a conventional 40-hour week.

If you're experienced, capable and would like to add interesting, well-paid field work to your schedule, this may be a very good fit.

How the scheduling works

Our work is project-based and fluctuates throughout the year, so there are no guaranteed minimum hours.

We also don't expect employees to sit by the phone waiting for us.

We're hiring two technicians specifically so that we can maintain a small pool of experienced people and accommodate individual schedules while still having reliable crew coverage.

We generally try to concentrate projects into multi-day work blocks on alternating weeks, rather than offering scattered individual shifts. During active periods, a project may involve 4–5 consecutive workdays.

We make every reasonable effort to schedule these blocks in advance and will confirm your availability before committing you to a project.

Once you accept a scheduled work block, however, we need to be able to count on you for those dates.

Some periods of the year are naturally quieter than others. Other periods can be very busy.

This arrangement is likely to work particularly well for someone who has another flexible source of income or simply values having substantial blocks of time when they are not expected to work for us.

Travel is part of the job

While much of our work is in the Lower Mainland, All Clear works throughout B.C.

Projects may take our crews to the Sunshine Coast, Powell River, Vancouver Island and other communities, and some assignments involve several consecutive days away from home.

Applicants must be genuinely comfortable with regional travel, occasional overnight stays and multi-day projects.

What we do

All Clear specializes in advanced mold and pathogen remediation and whole-building biodecontamination.

Traditional remediation often focuses primarily on removing affected building materials. Our work goes further, using specialized treatment processes to address residual mold spores and microbial contamination in the treated environment.

Our projects include occupied homes, apartments, attics, crawlspaces and other challenging building environments.

This isn't demolition-heavy restoration work. There is a significant investigative and problem-solving component to what we do, and we are particularly interested in technicians who want to understand why a building developed a problem,

not simply treat what is visible.

What you'll actually be doing

This is a physical, hands-on field position.

Depending on the project and your experience, your work may include:

- Mold remediation and detailed HEPA cleaning
- Specialized sanitization and biodecontamination
- Stain-removal treatments
- Antimicrobial applications
- Equipment setup, operation, cleaning and teardown
- Working in attics, crawlspaces and other restricted areas
- Wearing a full-face respirator and other PPE for extended periods when required
- Work-area preparation and containment where appropriate
- Loading, unloading and moving remediation equipment
- Photographing and documenting site conditions
- Following written scopes, safety procedures and treatment protocols
- Recognizing unexpected hazards or changed conditions and stopping work when appropriate
- Maintaining exceptionally clean and professional jobsites

There are hoses to run, equipment to carry, surfaces to clean and crawlspaces to crawl through. If you have reached the point in your career where you no longer want to perform physical field work, this won't be the right position.

Building and inspection experience is particularly valuable

We're also interested in what you know about buildings.

Depending on your experience and training, you may assist with:

- Pre-treatment building evaluations
- Mold and moisture investigations
- Moisture-meter assessments
- Thermal imaging
- Investigation of potential leaks, condensation and water intrusion
- Attic and crawlspace assessments
- Recognizing ventilation, insulation and building-envelope conditions contributing to mold growth
- Documenting findings for the Lead Technician and Company Principal
- Identifying conditions that should be referred to another trade or specialist

You do not need to be a certified home inspector. However, restoration technicians, construction professionals and others with strong building-science, moisture-investigation or property-inspection experience are particularly encouraged to apply.

We value people who look at a problem and instinctively ask:

“Why is this happening?”

Experience we're looking for

You should have meaningful hands-on experience in one or more of the following:

- Property restoration
- Mold remediation
- Water-damage restoration
- Construction or a skilled building trade
- Environmental remediation
- Hazardous-material work environments
- Building/property inspection
- Film/construction technical departments
- A closely related field

You do not need experience with All Clear's specialized equipment and treatment processes. We will teach you those.

Certifications and training

Current training or certification in any of the following is a significant asset:

- WorkSafeBC Basic or Intermediate First Aid w/transportation endorsement
- Confined Space Entry / Monitor
- WHMIS
- Respiratory protection
- Current respirator fit testing
- Fall protection
- Asbestos hazard awareness
- NORMI/IICRC or other relevant restoration/remediation training
- Building science,

moisture investigation or thermography

Don't have every ticket on this list? Apply anyway. For the right experienced field person, All Clear is prepared to invest in relevant additional training and certification.

All Clear does not perform asbestos abatement.

All Clear is a specialized, innovative remediation company where the quality of the individual technician matters.

We use advanced technologies and treatment protocols that go beyond conventional remediation, and we expect the same high standard from the people performing the work.

Reliability, judgment and attitude matter as much to us as credentials.

You must be

- Physically capable of performing remediation work
- Comfortable working in attics and crawlspaces
- Comfortable wearing a full-face respirator
- Safety-conscious and willing to stop work when conditions aren't right
- Able to follow detailed procedures without taking shortcuts
- Dependable once you have committed to a project
- Professional in clients' homes and properties
- Comfortable working independently when appropriate and collaboratively as part of a small crew
- Comfortable working alongside less-experienced technicians and sharing good field practices as you work
- Curious, observant and willing to continue learning
- Able to communicate clearly with the Lead Technician and company Principal
- In possession of a valid driver's licence and acceptable driving record
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

We don't need another manager. We need excellent field people.

Compensation

$34–$38/hour, depending on relevant experience, current certifications, building-assessment capability and demonstrated field competency.

There are no guaranteed minimum hours. Work is project-based.

In exchange, we offer a high degree of freedom between projects and make every reasonable effort to organize work into worthwhile, scheduled blocks rather than scattered short shifts.

Additional training and certification opportunities are available for the right people.

A small team where experience matters

Our regular field crews are deliberately small.

You'll work under an established All Clear Lead Technician and alongside other trained and developing field personnel.

We share knowledge. Experienced technicians aren't expected to become classroom instructors, but we do expect good field practices to be demonstrated and knowledge to be shared as part of working together.

If you're the kind of experienced tradesperson who enjoys showing a less-experienced person why something is done properly rather than simply telling them what to do, you'll fit in well.

Why All Explicit?

This may appeal to you if you:

- Enjoy field work but don't want another conventional full-time position
- Want your experience to be valued without being pushed into management
- Like unusual projects and solving building problems
- Enjoy both physical work and investigation
- Want opportunities to develop additional technical skills
- Prefer working with a small crew
- Like having substantial periods when your time is your own
- Are comfortable travelling for interesting projects
- Take pride in doing work properly rather than simply getting through the day's production target

We are building a team of people who are exceptionally good at the work itself. Pay: $34.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week

Benefits

- Flexible schedule
