Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards
- Wash, chop,
portion, and store food items
- Prepare sauces and soups
- Assist with stocking and organizing kitchen inventory
- Filling out prep lists
- Washing dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment
- Follow food safety and health regulations
- Assist line cooks as needed during service
- Complete opening duties for restaurant
- Receive and properly store deliveries
Requirements
- 2 years of prep experience required
- Knowledge of scratch cooking
- Valid Food Handler Certificate required
- Culinary school an asset
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Must be available mornings, weekends, and some holidays
