Purebred & commercial cow-calf operation in Central Alberta looking for a farm hand/ranch hand, equipment operator
This position entails various responsibilities from livestock handling & welfare, machinery operation, to general farm/ranch duties and maintenance on a cow-calf herd & beef cattle production operation.
Responsibilities
- Calving cows
- Cattle handling
- Maintaining fences and gates.
- Feeding and watering livestock.
- Monitor livestock health and well-being.
- Operate tractors, ATVs, and other farm/ranch equipment.
- Field Work
- Haying
- Operating tractor & farm equipment
- General maintenance & upkeep
Housing Available if required
No Horse Work
Must be able to work independently and with a team
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate
- Innisfail, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- cattle: 3 years (required)
- Farm machinery: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 1 Licence (preferred)
- Class 5 Licence (required)
