Magnet is helping our client, a leading Consumer Products Organization look for a Field Sales & Merchandising Representative to join their National Retail Sales team. In the role of Field Sales Representative, you will have accountability over a territory and be responsible for driving the business with various retail customers at store level (Walmart, SDM, Real CDN Superstore, Sobeys, Lawton's & Giant Tiger).

You will work with your customers to identify programs and merchandising opportunities to grab the attention of consumers and sell specific products, ultimately being responsible for delivering the sales and profit goals for your accounts. The territory is located in the Halifax & Surrounding area. Ideally candidate should live in Halifax or Darmouth.

Responsibilities

- Present and sell products at store level according to national and regional promotions while maintaining focus on marketing objectives
- Execute promotions in a manner that results in increased sale
- Merchandise products as indicated by national bulletins or other internal correspondence.



Advise customers of upcoming ads, promotions, new products, etc. Rotate stock on all product lines, ensure POP material is available and displayed, and solicit additional space during promotions and peak sales periods
- Robust selling skills to support store level bookings
- Develop and maintain relationships with key store personnel in order to strengthen the company’s position. Provide consistent feedback competitor information and competitive information to Retail Manager

Qualifications:

- College/university degree or equivalent is preferred with 3+ years of proven sales/merchandising experience
- Self-motivated with strong selling and negotiation skills
- Previous experience working with a handheld tablet (technology
