Role Description This is a full-time Financial Advisor role based in Calgary, AB, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows a combination of in-office and work-from-home activities.
The Financial
Advisor will meet with clients to assess their financial goals, analyze current financial situations, and develop personalized strategies for savings, investments, retirement, and protection. Daily responsibilities include preparing and presenting financial plans, recommending suitable financial products, and monitoring client portfolios and plans over time. The role involves maintaining accurate client records, staying current with industry trends and regulatory requirements, and participating in training and team meetings.
The Financial
Advisor will also engage in business development activities such as networking, referrals, and community outreach to grow their client base.
Qualifications
- Solid knowledge and practical experience in Financial Planning and Financial Advisory, with the ability to develop tailored strategies for diverse client needs will be asset.
- Solid foundation in Finance and Investments, including understanding of risk management, asset allocation, and product suitability.
- Experience or training in Retirement Planning, with the ability to help clients prepare for long-term financial security.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in clear, accessible language.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical client service.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities effectively.
- Relevant licenses or willingness to obtain required provincial and industry certifications; post-secondary education in finance, business, or a related field is an asset.
- Comfort with technology and digital tools for client meetings, financial analysis, and documentation.
