Our team of experts is passionate about lighting design and technology, and we are looking for a sharp, autonomous Financial Controller to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

- Own day-to-day accounting, including AP/AR, payroll, general ledger and cash flow management.
- Lead month-end and year-end close, preparing financial statements and variance analyses.
- Design, calculate and audit commission and bonus structures for the sales team.
- Build annual budgets and rolling cash flow forecasts to support growth.
- Evaluate and upgrade financial tools, integrating accounting software with Salesforce, Parspec and Oasis.
- Coordinate with external CPA firms on tax filings, year-end and corporate compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1–2 years in a Controller or senior accounting role.




- Industry Knowledge: Background in lighting, architectural products, distribution, or another service-based business is an asset.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA designation strongly preferred.
- Tech: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero or comparable ERP, plus expert-level Excel.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, solid analytical skills, and the ability to explain financial data clearly to non-financial leaders.
