Role Overview The Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick is seeking independent contractors to support the delivery of our First Aid / CPR Training Program. Independent contractor instructors will deliver First Aid/CPR courses to community groups, workplaces, and organizations. No prior experience is required as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided to ensure instructors are fully prepared and confident.
This is a contract for services, ideal for individuals looking for flexible, project-based work.
Note: Instructor level certifications in First Aid / CPR are not required to apply for this opportunity. All required training will be covered through Heart & Stroke NBs onboarding process.
Responsibilities
· Delivery of high-quality First Aid & CPR Training.
· Maintain a high standard of facilitation when working with groups.
· Coordination with the Resuscitation Program Manager regarding course scheduling and materials.
· Submit post-course documentation, as required.
· Represent the program in a professional and positive manner.
Requirements
· Prior experience in first aid, health, occupational health and safety, teaching, facilitation, or a related field is considered an asset.
· Some travel, as required.
· Some evenings / weekends, as required.
- Demonstrates motivation and passion for teaching.
- Robust interpersonal and timely communication skills.
- Be reliable, punctual, and organized.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license & access to a vehicle.
- Have access to a reliable, working laptop.
- Clean criminal record check.
Compensation Contractors are compensated on a per-class basis, with fixed fees that vary by course type.
