THE JOB
Hy-Tech is adding a Fleet Coordinator to our growing team.
The Fleet
Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating all required repairs and maintenance associated with the company’s fleet of rolling stock. This role involves assisting with the mobilization and demobilization of equipment to and from the field. We are looking to add an ambitious, well-rounded individual to carry out the following key responsibilities:
- Coordinate fleet to ensure rolling stock is in good condition and schedule required services and maintenance.
- Assist with developing and updating the preventative maintenance program for the company fleet.
- Monitor GPS units to ensure proper operation.
- Collaborate with Fleet System Coordinator to maintain Fleetio, recording all rolling stock inspections, maintenance, and repair history.
- Collaborate with Fleet Manager to purchase inventory requirements for to support fleet repair and maintenance.
- Ensure the company’s fleet requirements for applicable certificates and licenses are in place.
- Ensure correct fleet insurance and registration are in vehicles.
- Maintain current knowledge and awareness of safety and DOT regulations in all jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with the Fleet Manager to ensure vehicle and equipment needs are met prior to project mobilization.
- Collaborate with Scheduling to ensure crew change requirements are met.
- Work closely with Logistics to have vehicles available for crew changes.
- Assist with the development of Mobilization Lists based on contract requirements.

THE SETTING
This position is based out of the Company Headquarters in Smithers, BC. Shop work environment. There is also a requirement to work outside in all weather conditions. Possible exposure to dust, hazardous chemicals, and high levels of noise.
THE SCHEDULE
Standard working hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday. There will also be some requirements to be available after hours and on weekends during busy times.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of Fleet Management/Coordinator experience in a related industry.
- Red Seal Certification in relevant trade is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of diamond drill equipment and drilling methodologies is an asset.
- Knowledge of fleet related regulations in relevant jurisdictions is considered an asset.
- Experience with fleet management software is considered an asset.
- Ability to thrive in a challenging and quick-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities.
