Key Responsibilities:

- Support the creation of daily schedules and work closely with Operations & GFL internal Shops to meet maintenance needs
- Support scheduling 3rd party work o our assets, while taking into consideration Operational schedules and timelines
- Acts as a liaison coordinating between our various operations, and maintenance staff as required
- Identifies optimization opportunities for the effective use of resources
- Acts as the point of contact for customer and other inquiries that come to the dispatch office
- Creates and supports the distribution of the daily operational schedule to operations management
- Coordinate equipment repairs with the mechanics and third party repair companies. This includes freeing up equipment from operations for both preventative and reparative maintenance
- Support and/or open and process work orders. This includes month end closure and reconciliation of open work orders
- Creates and maintains a zero harm environment by ensuring all environmental, health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
- Other tasks as directed by management

Requirements:

- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, the ability to decipher google maps, and find information online
- Exceptional organization skills to ensure adherence to protocols,



best practices for paper work and operational flow of information
- Must be flexible and can easily adapt to changing priorities with an ability to multi-task
- Experience working with a unionized workforce and a collective bargaining agreement considered an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal directly with clients, internal personnel, management, other divisions, etc
- Experience setting up, overseeing and managing job sites or projects is an asset
- Knowledge of dispatching, fleet management, and/or heavy duty equipment is an asset

Qualifications:

- High school education, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in an industrial environment is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
