Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and identify their flooring needs through active listening and effective communication
- Provide expert advice on installation, renovation, and construction-related questions to support customer decisions
- Conduct upselling and cross-selling by recommending complementary products such as moldings, underlayments, or finishing touches
- Manage inside sales transactions utilizing POS systems, handle cashing and cashiering duties accurately, and process payments efficiently
- Assist customers with product selection, merchandising displays,
and organizing samples to enhance the shopping environment
- Build strong customer relationships through excellent service, account management, and follow-up on inquiries or orders
Skills
- Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales with a focus on high-end products or renovation materials
- Robust negotiation skills to close sales effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of construction processes, renovation projects, and related terminology to assist clients confidently
- Exceptional communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, basic math, and organizational skills for smooth transactions and record keeping
- Ability to perform product merchandising and manage inside sales operations efficiently while maintaining a customer-focused approach
