Food & Beverage Manager/Sommelier The London Club | London, Ontario The London Club is seeking an experienced and passionate hospitality professional to join our leadership team as Food & Beverage Manager/Sommelier.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader who understands that exceptional hospitality is about more than excellent food and beverage—it is about creating memorable experiences, developing strong teams, building relationships with members and guests, and continually finding ways to elevate the overall Club experience.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Food & Beverage Manager/Sommelier will provide leadership and oversight for the Club’s food and beverage operations, including member dining, private and Club events, banquet service, wine and beverage programs, and front-of-house operations. The successful candidate will combine strong operational and financial management skills with a genuine passion for hospitality and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities The Food & Beverage Manager will:

- Provide leadership and direction to the Club’s front-of-house food and beverage team.
- Foster a service culture focused on exceeding the expectations of members and guests.
- Recruit, train, mentor and develop employees while promoting accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Develop and manage departmental operating budgets and monitor financial performance to achieve established goals.
- Maintain effective revenue, purchasing, inventory and cost-control procedures.
- Oversee purchasing and receiving to ensure appropriate quality, quantity and pricing.
- Lead the Club’s wine and beverage program, including purchasing, inventory, cellar management, wine lists, promotions and member-focused beverage programming.
- Work collaboratively on the development and approval of dining, banquet and beverage menus.
- Create and support Club events and experiences designed to engage the membership.




- Develop ongoing training and professional development programs for service and beverage staff.
- Maintain a visible presence within the Club, engaging with members and guests and responding effectively to feedback.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and industry partners.
- Ensure reservations, service standards, operating procedures and departmental policies are effectively maintained.
- Lead regular food and beverage meetings and participate as an active member of the Club’s management team.
- Work with the General Manager in developing operating and capital budgets and identifying future equipment and facility requirements.
- Oversee inventory controls and ensure accurate information is communicated to the accounting department.
- Participate in Club committees and serve as Manager on Duty as required.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple areas of responsibility.

motivate and develop a diverse hospitality team.
- Confidence handling member and guest feedback professionally and constructively.
- A collaborative management style and the ability to work effectively across departments.
- The ability to develop lasting relationships with members, guests, employees and suppliers.

Our food and beverage program plays a central role in the member experience, ranging from everyday dining and special culinary experiences to private functions, member events and an extensive wine and beverage program.

We are looking for a Food & Beverage Manager/Sommelier who will bring energy, leadership and creativity to the position while respecting the traditions and standards that define the Club.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

- Cooking: 5 years (required)
