We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a quick-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and clamp trucks to efficiently move, locate, and stack products within the warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and clamp trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Utilize order picking equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the warehouse environment.
Skills
- Proficient in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers with a strong focus on safety.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment as they arise.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order verification tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job duties.
- Experience with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and orders is preferred.
