Full Stack Architect – Inventory 360

Location: Remote – Canada

Type: Full-Time

Compensation: CAD 170K Total Compensation

Job Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Architect to lead the architecture and technical execution of an Inventory 360 platform from discovery through production. The ideal candidate will have strong React, Node.js, and Databricks experience and be comfortable making hands-on architectural decisions.

A key focus will be determining when to leverage Databricks Apps versus building custom React/Node.js application components.

Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end application architecture for the Inventory 360 platform.
- Design scalable solutions using React, Node.js, and Databricks.
- Evaluate and decide between Databricks Apps and custom React/Node.js applications.
- Define architecture patterns, technical standards, APIs, and integration strategies.
- Create technical designs, architecture diagrams, and proof-of-concepts.
- Work closely with product, engineering, data, and business teams.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.




- Ensure solutions meet scalability, security, performance, and reliability requirements.
- Participate in hands-on development, code reviews, and technical troubleshooting.
- Clearly communicate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills

- 10+ years of experience in software engineering/application architecture.
- Strong React experience.
- Solid Node.js experience.
- Strong Databricks experience.
- Experience with full-stack application architecture and REST APIs.
- Experience integrating applications with data platforms.
- Understanding of cloud, microservices, CI/CD, security, and scalable architectures.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred

- Experience with Databricks Apps.
- Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, or Databricks SQL.
- TypeScript and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Retail, inventory, supply-chain, or data-platform experience.
