Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled General Gas Fitter/Plumbing Journeyman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas and plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure safe, productive, and reliable gas and plumbing operations, contributing to the success of our construction and maintenance initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Install, troubleshoot, and repair gas piping systems, fixtures, and appliances according to safety standards and building codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to complete installations and repairs efficiently
- Conduct routine maintenance on existing plumbing and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with construction teams to assemble piping systems, fixtures, and related components on-site
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of work to prevent accidents or hazards
- Document work performed through detailed reports and maintain accurate records of inspections and repairs

Qualifications





- Valid Journeyman Gas Fitter/Plumbing license or equivalent certification
- Proven experience with mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, carpentry basics, welding techniques, and schematic diagrams
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and safety compliance
- Prior experience in maintenance or construction projects involving schematics reading and system assembly is preferred
