Job Title: General Laborer (Experienced) / Boiler Operator

Location: G3 Terminal Vancouver The General Laborer / Boiler Operator is a unionized position responsible for supporting the safe and productive operation of terminal equipment and facilities. This role operates and monitors equipment, completes operational and housekeeping tasks, communicates with internal stakeholders, and contributes to safe, reliable, and efficient terminal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and monitor equipment in accordance with established procedures, safety requirements, and operational standards.
- Plan and organize daily work activities to support efficient terminal operations and meet operational targets.
- Monitor equipment performance and product quality requirements and report concerns or deviations.
- Coordinate operational activities with the Control Room and other departments through clear and timely communication.
- Follow Safe Operations Standards and participate in safety programs, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned work areas.




- Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance issues to Operations and Maintenance personnel.
- Complete operational records, reports, and documentation accurately and within required timelines.
- Maintain effective working relationships with team members, other terminal departments, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Participate in required training and apply learned knowledge to daily work activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Valid 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate or higher is considered a strong asset.
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of industrial operations, equipment, and workplace safety practices.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow operating procedures, safety requirements, and work instructions.
- Basic computer proficiency for completing operational records, reports, and documentation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a continuous operating environment.
- Ability to successfully complete required training and maintain required certifications.
